Hi, I'm Smiti, a second-year PhD student in the economics concentration at the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University. My research focus is applied microeconomics (labor, public, development).

I previously earned an MS in Computer Science and a Minor in Public Policy from UNC Chapel Hill, where I was an RA for two years in the Visual Analysis and Communication Lab (VACLab) led by Dr. David Gotz. I studied Computer Science (BS) and Mathematical Statistics (BA) at Wake Forest University.
